Today was the last day in England so we needed to pack and clean everything. At breakfast we splitted the tasks. Then we all packed our bags and Kevin and me began making lasagne for lunch. We ate and Judy joined us. Then Linus, Saskia and me went on a walk with Dotty while the rest continued cleaning. Later Kevin, Linus and me brought the trash cans to the garbage dump. And after every task was finally done we went to the store to buy snacks for the drive tomorrow. When we were back we packed the car and ate for dinner the rests that were there. In the evening Anne played Wonderwall on the guitar and Kevin sang (amazing as usual ;)- added by Kevin) to it. He had to sing because he told Anne that if she learned how to play it he would sing it. After this we just sat there and had fun with watching videos where we had to guess movies and series just from the music. We went to bed earlier than usual because Saskia and Kevin had to sleep for the drive.

Today we all ate braekfast and then we waited that the Cambian School from Northampton called and said that we could come today. They showed us the school and then we got an exceptional buffet and they were very kind and sweet and the lunch was so delicious. Then everybody (our group as well the students and teacher from the school) played together. It was a mix of ‚Brennball‘ and baseball. Then we played the second round and it was teachers vs children and with a football. The kids won but the teachers said: ‚We let them win‘ (it was a lie). Meanwhile Loran, Inga, Emila, Melina and Kevin went with the teacher Sarah for a walk. After that they drew a German and British flag on a wall. At the end we all talked wery long with the teachers and everyone were very sweet and lovely. Then we got back home. Now we made a fire and grilled sausages, bread and marshmallows. We had lot of fun and we also talked long and ate a lot. Then one by one all went to sleep and some did somthing in their rooms.

On Tuesday, the 17.09. Melina, Lenz, Linus, Mia and Saskia stayed at home and the others drove with Kevin to the Harry Potter Studios. There we went inside and entered the first room, where we saw Harry’s former room under the stairs. After that, an employee explained something about the rules in the Harry Potter Studios and then showed us a short film shot by employees and children. After that we went to a movie theatre-like room where we saw a short film about the Harry Potter movies and the actors. Then we went through a large gate to the Hogwarts dining room, there were also life-size dolls of some of the Hogwarts teachers. When we walked through it, we split up and walked in three groups through the corridors and the rooms. From Hagrid’s house to Harry’s room in Hogwarts, there was everything that appears in the movies and even more. Most of us filmed or photographed a lot and in between we sometimes took pictures of us and Kevin for the blog. As we walked through the different rooms, suddenly a few people dressed as Death Eaters came and stood in the middle of the room and performed a choreographed show, with some of the objects in the room creating fog, making the show cooler. After the show we were allowed to take photos with the Death Eaters, Sarah and me took some and then looked for Kevin to take a picture with them too, and he did it. After the show we discovered a booth where you could take photos and videos on a flying broomstick. Sarah and me did the same, which resulted in funny but also cool photos, of which we each bought one at the end. Afterwards we walked to a forest with huge spiders and some of the dementors. There was also the hippo griffin and a display of Hagrid. Then we walked further and visited some exciting rooms. In a café we tried butterbeer. At the end we all met in the Harry Potter shop and most of us bought something. Then we went home and ate. The others helped Tiny cleaning the fields and removed a wire fence. Linus and Melina cleaned the kitchen and Linus cooked fried rice. Lenz and Mia baked cookies and Lenz threw half of them on the floor (but they were still delicious) and then we ate all together.

Today we stayed at home because the past days were being very exhausting. In the morning we all were having breakfast together, except Melina and Emilia, they were still sleeping so we decided that they could clean up the kitchen. After breakfast a few of the group went in there rooms, rest in the kitchen and Lenz, Mia and Saskia helped Tiny to clean the paths at the flower beds. Around half past twelve Anne, Sarah and Linus cooked pasta with a special sauce from Anne and Sarah. At 1 pm was lunch ready and we all eat together. After Lunch Saskia told us that a school from Northampton is coming on Friday, so we cleaned the caravans and the outdoor areal from the Nursery. I also cleaned the kitchen so that it was clean again. On 4 pm most of the group were driving with Saskia to a jump arena. Meanwhile Lenz, Kevin and I stayed in the Nursery. Lenz and Kevin were building a raised bed because the one for the kitchen was completely broken. Around half past six Saskia and the other’s came back to the Nursery. When they were home we eat bread and pasta for dinner. After dinner Kevin and Lenz continued to build the raised bed. To the same time Anne braided Mia‘s hair in two big braids. The rest of the group was in the kitchen and in there rooms. In the evening we played werewolf before we were going to bed.

England block 16th

Today we went back to London. First we went to the British Museum and the Saints Museum. In the British Museum we saw the Rosetta Stone and went to the different departments with different cultures. A few of us ate muffins and had a drink while the others walked around the museum a bit. It was interesting to find out that parts of Egypt and other countries belonged to Great Britain. After everyone had looked at the museum, we went out and took the underground to the meeting point.

In the Science Museum the others learned something about medicine, which they found most exciting, and the history of airplanes and something about steam engines. And Saskia found out that she would never want to be an astronaut, because of the toilets and the food.

We waited for the others at the meeting point in front of Borough Market, but they then said we should come the 50 meters to them because Borough Market was closed. When we got to them we had to go back in the direction we came from. Then we drove to Piccadilly Circle and split up into groups. Our group wanted to go shopping. First we were hungry and went to McDonald’s. Then we went to Zara, then to Bershka and then to Primark. Because Sarah really wanted to go to Starbucks, we stopped briefly on the way to the meeting point. We then all met at the fountain and a few of us drove back to the caravans with Kevin and the rest did the Jack the Ripper tour.

We first walked through London to find where it was. When we found the starting point, we registered and waited for other people. When it started, we walked as far forward as possible so we could see as much as possible. The guy showed us several pictures of Jack the Ripper’s victims in the city with a projector and he told us lots of stories and went with us to the different places. This tour lasted about 1.5 hours. After that we drove straight back to the caravans and were home around midnight.

Today one part of the group went to Silverstone. Some staid home Linus, Melina and Kevin cleaned the kitchen. Lenz was still asleep so everyone helped to wake him up. We connected Kevins mobilephone with a musicbox and played Good Morning Sunshine. Sarah finally won the game Happy Little Dinosaurs. Now we baked cinnamonrolls because we were bored. Melina also baked bread that linus saved.

The other part went to the Ferrari Racing Days in Silverstone and watched ther first race. After the second race they found better seats. They found somthing to eat and watch Formular 1 on the tv and the crowd was amazing, everyone sceramed and laughed. Meanwhile there was a Ferrari parade in Silverstone which was very impressive. Zoé and Emilia played the Formula 1 Simulator and Emilia won the race. Then they watched the last race and looked at the cars outside. Then it started to rain and they went home. Back at home Melina and Emilia made Sarah into Melina 2.0.

Yesterday one group went to a cardgame tournament in Northampton, where Kevin had the worst card deck of all. (Lenz and Linus were lucky und got really expensiv cards, while I just got trash to play with. The players and storeowner were really happy, to see me again, after a year. A few of them still remember the „German Teacher“ who teachs his students how to play „Flesh and Blood“  -added by Kevin).

After that in the evening Linus tried to make a plektron for Anne to play guitar out of a one pence coin with a sledgehammer. Then Kevin and Saskia stopped that because they feared that somebody gets killed. And when we played hide and seek tag in the evening Saskia locked the kitchen door, because Lenz was annoying. With Saskia and Kevin in and students outside of the kitchen.

Today was the 6th day in England. During breakfast, Judy and Dotty came by and asked if we could help her with the plants this afternoon. We agreed and finished eating. Sakia and Kevin had actually planned the visit of a rugby game, but that wouldn’t start before 8 pm. So everything worked out. When July picked us up, we helped her put the plants into larger containers and then take the containers to the various greenhouses. The rest of the day we only did little things like playing the game Happy Little Dinosaurs or Duoble. However, most of us were just in the caravan on their smartphones.
When we wanted to drive off, we first had to find a parking space, which took a while. When we got to the parking space and got out of the car, we looked for the shortest route and started walking. Kevin and Anne kept complaining that Melina was walking too slowly. At the stadium itself, everyone with a bag had to hand theirs in to check. Then Saskia opened the tickets on her smartphone and we went through one by one, but when Saskia finally wanted to go through, it didn’t work. It went on like that for a while until Saskia discovered it. The mistake was a ticket was scanned and no one went through. Saskia was allowed to go in, and we looked for our seats. Our seats were 1 to 12, block 12. At the beginning there was a memorial ceremony for the deceased captain of Northampton: Mobbs. After that the game started. The first try (like a touchdown) was from Northampton. At the end Northampton also won. On the way back we thought we are going in the wrong direction, but we hadn’t. When we got back we thought one of us had left the music on, but there was actually just a festival on the other side of the street.

We wanted to go to London that day because it was my birthday. In the morning everyone congratulated me. After eating breakfast, everyone got ready because we wanted to leave for the train station at 9 a.m. When we arrived at the train station we all went in and a few of our group bought the tickets. Our train was already there so we could get on straight away. We then took the train to Wembley. When we arrived we split into two groups. One went to the Wembley Stadium and the other go to the Bubble Planet. The group that go to the Wembley Stadium was first on a playground with sport equipment and than they go to the Wembley Stadium. The other group started directly in the Bubble Planet. In the first room was a floor with LED lights that had shown a underwater world. The next room was full with big balloons that flew around and people could go through. It was very nice and funny. In the third room was a really big bubbel, you could go in the bubble and sit on cushions and listen to the music that was playing. Then came a big ball pool with a giant duck and a ball in it. We was the longest time in this room because it was really funny. In the next room came many digital games, like a game where you can press a button and a famouse painting (Mona Lisa) made a chewing gum bubble and much more. Then comes a room with a hologram on the wall and in the middle of the room was a big net with balloons, the photo backdrop was in the other room. Zoé put her jacket on the floor to go into one of the sets. In that moment Inga says that there is a big spider in the jacket. Nobody believed her until Zoè lifted her jacket and the spider crawled over the floor. The employee was scared herself so she called in another employee.
He placed a cup over the spider and a another man came with a paper and brought the spider out of the room. We made cool pictures in the backdrops. In the next room were LED balls on the ceiling and on the wall were mirrors. In the last room there was another photo backdrop, that was a circle in which you stood. When you pulled on a rope and there was a soap balm around you. At the end Anna got another sprite, while Saskia phoned Kevin, sitting outside in a big bubble. Afterwards we went to the tube station to take the tube to the City of London. Zoé didn’t take good care of her things, that’s why Saskia stole her cell phone (Anne’s too – added by Saskia). In London we met the others at Piccadilly Circus. Then we looked for an ATM and walked around for a long time to find it, but we couldn’t find one, so we had to go back to the tube station. Everyone got 10 pounds to buy some food. We then divided ourselves into three groups. One of the groups had lunch at Pizza Hut, another group went to a Chinese shop, while my group were at Five Guys. Melina ordered her first time a lunch by herself in English. After that we went to the M&M shop but didn’t buy anything. Then we went back to the meeting point, where Kevin and the other boys were already sitting and talking. On the side of the square were four break dancers who were dancing. I and Sarah moved a little closer to watch them. The other group also joined us later. Almost everyone wanted to go home, but then we went on a sightseeing tour and Zoé wanted petting squirrels, so we walked through the park and saw also swans and pelicans. Zoé and I then sat on a bench to lie to the pigeons. Melina and I went to pet the squirrels. Afterwards we walked back to the tube station where I stole Zoé’s wallet. (Lenz did the same a few minutes before in the Park – added by Kevin). The tube was very full. Then we missed our stop and had to walk to a new one. When we arrived at the train station it was very full again. When we got back to Northampton everyone was very tired and wanted to sleep. In the evening we ate cake and played Happy Little Dinosaurs.
